Physiotherapy
Physiotherapy assists the body to optimize its healing potential. A full one hour assessment of the injured area or area of discomfort/pain will ensure that we know the true source of the complaint.
Specialized testing of the movement and strength of the muscles and joints in the area will assist the therapist to design an individualized treatment and exercise program to ensure return to active life.
The muscle imbalances are recognized and corrected through regular visits to the clinic, reducing swelling, inflammation and pain.
Sports Physiotherapy/Athletic Therapy
Not all sport injuries and athletes are created the same, and the demands on the body are very sport specific. An individualized assessment is required to help the athlete recover while staying as active as possible. Our therapists have advanced certifications/degrees and knowledge in active sport rehabilitation, prevention, and sideline return-to-play. In addition, they spend countless hours providing sideline field coverage enhancing their sport specific clinical assessments and treatments.
Concussion Rehabilitation

A concussion is a type of traumatic brain injury (TBI) caused by a bump, blow, or jolt to the head that results in a change in brain function. Concussion symptoms, lasting various lengths of time, may include amnesia, disorientation, confusion, fogginess, headache, blurred vision, nausea, fatigue and sometimes loss of consciousness. Immediate treatment of a concussion is crucial to a good and timely recovery. Our therapists have years of advance training and experience in assessing, treating, and assisting patients recover successfully from their concussions.
Vestibular, Dizziness & Balance Rehabilitation
Vestibular (Inner Ear) rehabilitation is effective in treating inner ear imbalances that cause vertigo, dizziness, balance and vision issues, and associated neck pain and discomfort. A thorough history and assessment is completed by the vestibular physiotherapist, involving specialized testing of the eyes, inner ear system, static and dynamic balance, and head posture. An individualized treatment plan is created which may include repositioning maneuvers, hands-on-techniques, vision/balance and inner ear exercises, and education. Strong communication and education are always shared between the practitioner and patient to ensure best care and successful recovery.
Vision Rehabilitation
The eyes are the gateway into the brain, as the visual system is involved in most cognitive activities and abilities. Visual impairments can lead to not only blurred or distorted vision, but also balance issues, dizziness, headaches, errors in depth perception and spatial awareness, and head posture changes. It can lead to light, colour and movement sensitivities making simple activities fatiguing, overwhelming or even nauseating. Vision rehabilitation is effective in helping improve these visual impairments and subsequent deficits, helping you return confidently back to your active life.
Strength and Conditioning

Strength and Conditioning programs can be designed for individualized needs and requests. Individualized programs pre-season, during the season or the off season ensures that the athlete performs at their optimal level and prevents injury. These programs are aimed at the competitive, the weekend or the recreational athlete and even those who are starting an active life. The sessions can be a program to initiate self or guided training, to provide goals over the course of a few months or weekly sessions. The goal being to address the specific needs through one-on-one training, team sessions and/or in combination with their rehabilitation if they are recovering from an injury.
Registered Massage Therapy
The trained therapist provides hands-on-techniques helping the body achieve multiple benefits from increased flexibility, reduced tension and headaches, improved healing, and pain relief, especially when coupled in the rehabilitation phases. The intensity of the massage can be deep or superficial, localized or general depending on the need. The treatments can be from a half hour or longer. It can be as frequent as weekly during the stages of healing or regularly throughout the year for maintenance.
